Your Guide to Out-of-Network Benefits

Does Repose Accept My Insurance?

Repose accepts Wellfleet and Aetna Student Health insurances. Otherwise, we are considered out-of-network (OON) providers, meaning we do not accept most insurance plans.

However, that doesn’t mean working with an OON provider like Repose has to break the bank. Many health insurance plans include OON mental health benefits, which is when your insurance helps to cover the cost of therapy.

Depending on your specific plan, your insurance carrier may reimburse you anywhere from 50-90%! That means that the out-of-pocket cost of a $200 therapy session after reimbursement could be just $20-$100.

How it works

Meet with your
Repose Therapist

You will pay the full fee at the time of your therapy session.

Submit a Superbill

We provide you with a monthly superbill (a receipt of the therapy services you have already paid for) with all of the necessary information for you to submit the claim to your insurance. Alternatively, Repose can submit the claim to your insurance on your behalf for a small processing fee.

Get Reimbursed

Upon processing the claim, your insurance will reimburse you for a portion of your therapy session (dependent on your plan), typically in the form of a mailed check or direct deposit.

Benefits of Working with an Out-of-Network Therapist

You can achieve lasting results faster by working with a therapist who fits your needs

You can prioritize finding someone who you like, connect with, and trust without being limited by insurance

You are not limited by the number of sessions or types of therapy your insurance is willing to cover

You can choose to work with a therapist that has training in more specialized areas

You will have access to a wider variety of therapy services, like EMDR or experiential therapy

If you limit your search to in-network providers, you may have to spend weeks or months on a waitlist
