Embark on Your Healing Journey with Compassion and Acceptance

The path to healing is rarely straightforward. It can be filled with uncertainties, emotional highs and lows, and moments that challenge your very core. Choosing to embark on this journey is an act of courage, and I am here to walk beside you every step of the way. My role is to provide a compassionate and accepting space where you can explore your emotions, confront your fears, and begin to heal. Healing is not just about overcoming challenges; it’s about embracing your true self and moving forward with resilience and strength.

Integrative and Somatic Approach to Healing

As a trained Dance/Movement Psychotherapist and Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, I believe that the body holds profound wisdom that can guide us toward healing. My approach integrates movement, mindfulness, breathwork, and somatic practices to address the whole self—mind, body, and spirit. I draw on psychodynamic theory to help you gain a deeper understanding of your past experiences and how they shape your present. Through this holistic, trauma-informed, and client-centered approach, we will work together to enhance your quality of life, build a stronger sense of self, and cultivate more meaningful and fulfilling relationships.

Culturally Responsive and Affirming Care

As a Black cisgender woman raised in the South, my life experiences have profoundly shaped my understanding of the unique struggles faced by Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC). I am deeply committed to creating a therapeutic space that is not only safe but also affirming and inclusive. I understand the weight of generational trauma, systemic racism, grief, and loss, and I am passionate about helping you navigate these complex and often painful experiences. My culturally responsive approach honors your identity, acknowledges your struggles, and empowers you to reclaim your narrative. By focusing on the mind, body, and spirit connection, we can learn from the past, honor the present, and look toward the future with renewed hope and strength.

Why Work With Me

  • Culturally Responsive Therapy: I bring a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by BIPOC individuals, particularly those navigating the intersections of race, gender, and cultural identity. My practice is grounded in cultural competence, ensuring that your experiences are validated and understood within the broader context of systemic issues.

  • Holistic Healing: My therapeutic approach is holistic, integrating traditional talk therapy with movement, mindfulness, and somatic practices. This combination allows us to address not just your thoughts and emotions but also the physical and energetic aspects of your well-being. I believe that true healing happens when we attend to the whole person, and I am committed to helping you achieve that.

  • Client-Centered Approach: You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to support you in your journey toward self-discovery and healing. My approach is client-centered, meaning that our work together will be tailored to your specific needs, goals, and aspirations. I am here to listen, support, and guide you as you navigate your path to wellness.

  • Safe and Affirming Space: I am dedicated to creating a therapeutic environment where you can feel truly seen, heard, and respected. Whether you are dealing with trauma, grief, systemic oppression, or simply seeking to better understand yourself, you will find a space of acceptance and affirmation in our work together. I am here to help you navigate the complexities of your identity and experiences, empowering you to live authentically and fully.

You dont have to walk this path alone

Healing is not a linear journey, and it requires both courage and commitment. I am honored to be a part of your process, helping you uncover your inner strength, embrace your full self, and move forward with confidence, hope, and renewed purpose.
