A yoga therapy experience for body and mind
Rest & Recover is a gentle, somatic-based yoga therapy class led by Kristen Sparro, MA, C-IAYT Certified Yoga Therapist, E-RYT 500, YACEP, Shamanic Reiki Master. Designed to support the body’s innate healing capacity, this class weaves together breath-led movement, nervous system regulation, and mindful awareness to create space for both physical relief and emotional restoration.
Rooted in the principles of yoga therapy and somatic psychology, this class is especially supportive for those navigating:
Chronic pain or tension
Burnout and nervous system dysregulation
Grief or emotional fatigue
Recovery from illness, injury, or surgery
Periods of transition or overwhelm
You’ll be guided to explore the body as a source of intelligence and healing—tracking sensation, processing stored experiences, and practicing gentle acceptance of what is. Through thoughtful sequencing and therapeutic use of props, you’ll learn to meet your body where it is, offering it care, attention, and spaciousness.
This is a space where there is no pressure to push or perform—just an invitation to return to yourself. Each session becomes a quiet ritual of repair, leaving you with a felt sense of calm and connection to carry with you off the mat.
No prior yoga experience is required. Rest & Recover welcomes all bodies and all levels of mobility, offering individualized modifications and support in a safe, trauma-informed environment.
