The covid-19 pandemic taught us many things, one being the power of the online medium. At Repose, value and accept the multitude of benefits that the online medium has to offer. Through continued work with folks all over the world, we have honed in what works, and have molded ourselves to adapt to their evolving needs.

Our REPOSE STUDIO uses cutting-edge technology, whilst still prioritizing the essence of delivering human connection. The beauty of mind-body work is that it can be practiced anywhere. It is relatable across all countries, languages, and cultures. It can be practiced in a studio, out in nature, or in the comfort of your home. Fighting traffic, and busy subways to make it to a class on time, beating yourself up for forgetting your class gear, finding a space for your mat in a busy studio space, might lead to what initially felt like a tranquil adventure ending in chaos and added stress.

BUILDING YOUR OWN HOME SPACE and practice can ultimately save you energy, time, mental and emotional exhaustion, and money. Beyond the logistical and financial benefits, setting up your own space at home, allows you to listen to the pace of your own body, it is a time and space where you can find your own rhythm, it is where real self-exploration and knowledge arises.

Create a Healing Environment

  • Choose a room or area in your home that is as free of distractions as it can be

  • If you have an outdoor space - even better!

  • A flat surface is encouraged for balancing postures, grounding, and finding stability

  • Keep one or more  pillows nearby for rest and meditation time

  • Try to find yourself a band, belt, scarf, or strap

  • A yoga block or any object that you can lean on may help with alignment

  • Heighten your senses by burning Sage, Palo Santo, or lighting candles, or by using diffusers 

  • Bring in something sweet as an offering for yourself, and keep it aside for later

SOUND

For an immersive experience, sound, music, and instruction will be important for you to hear. We encourage you to plug your device into an external speaker. Make sure to adjust your volume before your class begins to what feels most comfortable.

 

SELF

Seize the opportunity to nurture and care for yourself by preparing for what you need. We recommend keeping water close by, getting into comfortable clothes, slipping into sneakers, and having a towel at the ready.

STREAMING

We suggest viewing our classes through a web browser (Chrome is best!) on your devices. You can also stream or cast our classes to your TV if your TV has that functionality. View the following links to learn how to cast using Chromecast or Airplay.
