WHAT SOMATIC SESSIONS ARE & ARE NOT
Movement, awareness, regulation.
These classes are a doorway into somatic awareness — a slow, exploratory practice that supports the nervous system through gentle, body-led inquiry. They sit alongside our therapy work, but they are something distinct.
This is not therapy. This is not clinical treatment. It is the simple act of returning to the body — through breath, supported shapes, and an unhurried hour in a quiet room.
Therapeutic, but not psychotherapy.
While therapeutic in nature, our somatic classes are not considered clinical mental-health services offered by Repose. They incorporate evidence-based healing practices (like yoga, breath work, and sound) that are experiential and educational within a group classes format.
Complements clinical care
Classes are designed to be beneficial on their own and are also supportive to integrate work being done in therapy. If you are working through significant trauma or chronic mental-health condition, our therapy group sessions or individual therapy will likely be the better starting point.
A practice for your nervous-system
Classes center on interoception—the practice of attuning to the body’s inner landscape—through gentle somatic exploration, often supported by intentional movement. Rooted in and respectful of Eastern traditions such as yoga, these practices also integrate Western perspectives and modern neuroscience, offering a thoughtful, cohesive approach to mind–body awareness.
Accessible and open to everyone
No prior experience, particular flexibility, or fitness baseline is needed — just a willingness to slow down and listen inward. Our classes are designed to accommodate all levels of ability to meet you exactly where you’re at.

What To Expect
Repose classes are guided, inward-facing experiences designed to help you explore your internal landscape.
Rather than focusing on sharing personal narratives, we orient toward what is happening in real time within the body. Sensation, breath, and subtle shifts in your nervous system become the entry point for change.
Whether you’re joining us in person or virtually, this space is designed to support your system in softening, settling, and opening at your own pace.
Each class weaves together somatic awareness and nervous system regulation practices, guided in real time through sensation, breath, and subtle internal shifts. Slow, intentional movement and stillness, including restorative shapes and unhurried rest. Breathwork and contemplative practices to support regulation and grounding. Choice-based pacing — you are always invited to follow your own lead. And the quiet support of shared presence, because there is something that happens in a room full of people doing this work together that you cannot replicate alone.
