For many people, summer can bring about feelings of anxiety and self-consciousness due to body image concerns. Whether it's the pressure to achieve a certain "beach body" or comparing ourselves to unrealistic societal standards, it's important to remember that our worth extends far beyond our physical appearance. With the right support and strategies, you can learn to approach this season with self-compassion and self-love. 

Practice Mindful Awareness

Cultivate mindful awareness of your body and thoughts. Notice any negative or critical self-talk and challenge those thoughts with self-compassion. Remind yourself that your worth is not determined by your appearance, and that your body is deserving of love and care regardless of its shape or size.

Limit Exposure to Triggering Content

Be mindful of the media you consume, especially during the summer season. Unfollow social media accounts that perpetuate unrealistic beauty standards or trigger negative body image thoughts. Instead, follow accounts that promote body diversity, self-acceptance, and mental wellbeing.
