A bright, calm sitting room with a soft sofa and natural light

Overview

A grounded return to the body

Sessions include gentle movement, guided awareness, and breath. Somatic Experiencing (SE) works with the nervous system rather than against it. In a small group, you practice noticing sensation, settling stress responses, and expanding your capacity to feel.

This is a clinical therapy group, not a class or fitness experience. No prior experience is needed.

What we help with

What the group can support

The group can support people navigating anxiety, the effects of trauma, and the long aftermath of chronic stress. It works well alongside individual therapy, and on its own for building nervous system regulation skills in community.

Being with others doing the same work can itself be steadying. Many people find they feel less alone.

How we work

How this differs from a movement class

A clinical framework

Each session follows therapeutic principles, not a fitness progression.

Trauma-informed throughout

Consent, pacing, and choice are part of every invitation.

Time to integrate

Pauses and reflection are built into every session.

Your role

There is no correct way to do this

  • Turn inward

The question is always: what do I notice right now?

  • Choose your level

Every movement is optional and can be done seated.

  • Come consistently

The group grows steadier as members return week to week.

No. The group can stand on its own or complement individual therapy anywhere.
What if I have never done anything like this?
That is welcome. The group is designed for all levels, and every invitation is optional.
